Application forms for grants were completed and sent to both Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund .
The application to the HLF is progressing, however the application to Historic Scotland has fallen on stony ground and was rejected. They explained that, and I quote " Although the property was assessed as outstanding, for the purpose of grant this has been a particularly strong application round and unfortunately we do not have sufficient unallocated funds to offer at this time".
A small working group has been set up to look at ways of raising funds for ROCK. It is anticipated that we will be holding events such as sports dinners, fashion parades etc. in the near future. Watch this space!

Coffee Jars
If you would like to help the Church raise funds for Project ROCK
here is a simple way to do it – save your small change (usually 1 and 2 pence pieces) and keep them in a empty Coffee Jar.
(However, any jar will do.)
We collect the jars in June and December
and it all helps to make the fund grow.
Our 'coffee jar' offerings for the six months up to December 2009 raised the sum of £217.10
