As you’ll maybe remember, the only part of this session's programme which has not happened is the visit to Dunblane Cathedral. We are hopeful that this will happen on May 26th but watch the Church News for confirmation.

The final part of this year’s session includes four speakers (Marvyn Mackay talking about a Traidcraft-organised visit to Peru, Seamus Colman on more local history, Ken Smith of the Herald (yes, Glasgow’s Herald) who will no doubt be looking for stories for the Diary, and Kate Philbrick on Barlinnie) – plenty of variety, as usual – plus a Ceilidh, the end of session meal (not a barbecue, by special request!) and that trip to visit Dunblane.

The full programme for March to June 2010 is as follows:

March 10th Guest Speaker : Marvyn Mackay (to Peru with Traidcraft)
(Friday) March 26th
Ceilidh in Cumbernauld Bowling Club (Fund-Raiser for the Summer Fete) Tickets £6 including light refreshments

April 14th Guest Speaker: Seamus Colman (The Lands of Nethercroy)
April 28th Preparation for Summer Fete

May 12th Guest Speaker: Ken Smith (of the ‘Herald’ Diary fame)
May 26th Visit – Dunblane Cathedral (to be confirmed)

June 9th Guest Speaker: Kate Philbrick (‘Barlinnie’s Children’)
June 23rd End of Session meal

There should be something for everyone there, so come along and join us – we meet in the Laird's Loft on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm (unless otherwise indicated) and we start with a cup of tea / coffee, so that will show you how informal we are.

More information about our dance in March, the visit to Dunblane and our end of session meal will be in the Church News or you can find them on this website's What's On page. Please consider this as your personal invitation – we sincerely hope to see you there!
