Church Magazine: Ladies' Group (August 2008)

We meet every second Thursday at 7.30pm in the Session House when we have various activities or speakers.

At the time of writing we are still drawing up our programme for next session, although speakers already booked include 'A handful of songs' by Radio Heartbeat and a talk by Strathclyde Police about personal safety and home security. We also hope to have a jewellery demonstration, trips to the ten-pin bowling, the cinema and the theatre and, of course, our Christmas meal.

Our provisional programme for the first part of the session looks like this:

August 28th	Opening meeting and AGM

September 4th	Guest Speaker: from Strathclyde Police - Home Security
September 18th	Guest Speaker: from Heartbeat Radio - a Handful of Songs

October 2nd	Guest Speaker: Ivar Struthers - Romania & Transylvania
October 16th	Outing: Ten-pin Bowling
October 30th	Hobby Night

November 6th	Guest Speaker: Lynn McFadyen - Bejewelled
November 20th	Outing: Oliver, Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow

December 4th	Christmas Meal
